I'll let you in on a little secret. When attorneys are just hanging around in court without their clients there is a lot of joking and smack talk going on. It's sort of like a geek locker room.
So, yesterday I was in court with several other attorneys and we were all trying to get our cases handled so we could be on our way. They probably had other important cases to handle and I just wanted to get back into my sweat pants.
Anyway, one of the other attorneys was not cooperating and I don't know what came over me, but I said "Go stand in the corner!"
He didn't. And everyone laughed, but on the way home I thought "my two worlds are totally colliding and I might need to be more careful."
How about you? What stories do you have about slip ups or near slip ups?
Hi,
ReplyDeleteBTW. There are lots of kinky attorneys. LOTS. I have met many during my adventures.
I have introduced myself as joey in the vanilla world. Also, I wrote a post about my conversation with my family regarding 50 Shades. My wife told the group I had read the book and asked me to comment about it.
Hug,
joey
I think you're right about lawyers. That would explain a lot of the events that happened in law school. LOL
DeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteI have joked for someone to stand in the corner, too, and it was just something funny to say between friends. I'd never say it at work, though. Wow!
I usually don't either. I'll have to be more careful!
DeleteSlip-ups could be problematic at work! LOL. Fortunately, my only job is writing at home.
ReplyDeleteFortunately no one seemed shocked. I think the guy sort of liked it. heehee
DeleteLOL funny story! Yeah, I will tell someone to go stand in the corner, but that's as far as I'll go. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't even mean to go that far! I'll have to do reminders next time I go to the courthouse.
DeleteHasn't happened yet but I can definitely see it happening. Not in the working world but in the vanilla world at large. I often think or sometimes remark to hubby that someone needs spanked.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Another problem I have is not saying something like 'Oh, Sunnygirl said the funniest thing the other day" to people who would wonder who and what I was talking about.
DeleteWe were in an English pub once and my love and I were bickering a bit. The waitress came by and interrupted, so I turned to her and said, 'He's being a bit toppy right now.' She just smiled. He turns to me and says, 'What the hell is 'toppy'?' LOL!
ReplyDeleteAw, my sweet vanilla puddin'.
Well there are certainly times I have indicated something I shouldn't have. But I can honestly say it also has happened to me..... In the past mind you. I think there are plenty of us out there! Lol
