Very Inspiring Blogger

I was nominated for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award by Joseph McNamara, Sue Lyndon, and Cara Bristol. Wow. I'm popular!

Thank you to those who nominated me.

Here are the rules.

The Rules
1. Display the award logo on your blog.
2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
3. State 7 things about yourself.
4. Nominate 15 other bloggers for this award and link to them.
5. Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the award’s requirements.

Now for Seven fascinating things about myself. The fascinating wasn't a requirement, but I try to aim high.

1. My current to-do list includes "go to the jail".
2. I make awesome no bake cookies.
3. I recently visited the house from the movie The Christmas Story, even though I've never seen the movie from start to finish.
4. My husband and I have been watching The West Wing on Netflix. What a great show!
5. I'm meeting my son's new girlfriend this weekend. I hope I like her. [I suppose I should hope she likes me too. ha!]
6. I wish Facebook had an eye roll feature in addition to the 'like' button.
7. I live in a very small house that costs less than many luxury (and not so luxury) vehicles.

Now, I need to nominate 15 bloggers.

Geez. I hate this part. It seems like all the blogs I visit regularly (sure wish I had more time to visit all the great blogs out there) have already been nominated.

Will I get into too much trouble if I don't nominate anyone else?

  1. Ha! Number one doesn't surprise me because I know you're an attorney.

  2. Loved your answers Celeste. Interesting, I used to use that phrase in your first answer too when volunteering for a prison advocacy program in the past. Loved the West Wing and even catch a replay now and then. And much success in meeting your son's girlfriend this weekend...

    1. Joseph, you are so interesting with all the different things you've done in life. Do you mind sharing more of what the prison advocacy program was?

    1. It's actually pretty easy and fairly common, but they are good.

In a saucepan on medium heat combine:
      2 cups sugar
1 stick butter (use real butter, not margarine)
3 Tablespoons cocoa (real cocoa, not Nestlé's quick)
1/2 cup milk (don't use skim)
Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil. Allow to boil for 2-3 mins. Remove from heat and add: 3 cups oatmeal, 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 cup peanut butter. mix well and drop by tablespoonsful onto waxed paper to cool.
It's important to use real butter and at least 2% (whole is better) milk because otherwise they won't set up. They still taste great, but you have to eat them with a spoon.

    1. I should clarify that the eye roll is more for my real life facebook account than my Celeste Jones account.

I'm happy to report that I liked the girlfriend, so keep your fingers crossed.

  5. Yes, but did the girlfriend like you? Hehe.

I shall consult with Mrs. Claus whether you are in trouble.
