#SatSpanks from Willful Miss Winchester

Happy Saturday! Happy Spring!

I have a new book coming out April 16. Willful Miss Winchester is the third book in my Lady Katherine's Comeuppance Series.

Blurb: Rash, brash and low on cash, Miss Charlotte Winchester sails across the Atlantic ready to partake of all London had to offer the favorite sister of Lord Thomas Winchester.
What a shock for our impulsive adventurer when she arrives at her brother's London townhouse to find he and his wife sailed for America weeks before.
Reclusive widower Lord Lucas Tanner wanted nothing more than to live in obscurity while continuing to mourn the loss of his wife and infant son. When his house burns to the ground, he accepts the invitation of his friend, Lord Thomas Winchester, to reside at his home while Thomas and Lady Katherine visit America. All goes well for him until Charlotte shows up.
Cultures and passions clash when these two unlikely roommates are forced to share a home. Will they draw a chalk line through the center of the parlor, or will their acrimony turn to matrimony?

“Maybe you need to spank some good manners into me.”
“That is the first sensible thing you have said since you arrived in this house.” The ominous tone and the dark look in his eyes filled her with warm anticipation. Anticipation of what, she had no specific notion, only that the womanly part of her had become acutely aware of his inherent masculinity. Her taunt had been intended to elicit a response, even if only to shock.
It had its desired affect because within a moment of speaking, she was situated across his lap, the skirts of Lady Katherine’s gown tossed up over her head and her backside subjected to the stern ministrations of Lord Lucas Tanner. She was grateful to Beatrice for also pilfering a pair of Lady Katherine’s undergarments, though the sheer fabric did little to provide protection from the slap of Lord Tanner’s hand against her upturned rump, she could at least assure herself that she had been somewhat modestly covered.
“Stop, this instant.”

Spanking Stories Book Club Classics---Spanking Ms. Whitman by Kate Richards

I have decided to re-wind and re-visit some older Spanking Stories Book Club posts in order to remind you all of some good books that have been out for a little while and to generate some new discussion because maybe now more people have read the books.

Please jump in with your thoughts and enjoy this discussion from August, 2013.

******

Happy Labor Day Weekend to everyone in the US. It seems fitting, and if I were clever I might have actually planned this, that we are discussing a Play At Work book in honor of a holiday to honor the economic and social contributions of workers.

Today's discussion is Spanking Ms. Whitman by Kate Richards. This book came out a few months ago, but I enjoyed it so much I wanted to give it a shout out here and maybe bring it to the attention of some folks who might have missed it when it came out.

Here's the blurb:
Mona Whitman is in for it. Her boss has promised severe punishment the very next time she arrives late for work and the hour she spent fantasizing about him has put her job in jeopardy. If only she could come up with an alternative to firing…a punishment they might both enjoy…

Randolph Marks, business tycoon by day, dungeon Dom by night, is in a quandary. His favorite employee is late for work again and he must go through with his threat of retribution. But how to go about it without crossing a line and violating good business practices? He couldn’t possibly get away with spanking Miss Whitman.
What I particularly liked about this book was that it was fun and sexy and loaded with squirmy anticipation.
Here are some questions:
1. Have you ever lusted after a boss? If so, what happened? (Without TMI, please).
2. Do you think that worker productivity might go up if more bosses used Mr. Marks' methods?
3. Why are sexy bosses so much fun?
4. Are spanking stories sometimes too serious?
Thanks for joining the conversation!

Important Announcement About Spanking Stories Book Club

Two and a half years ago I had an idea which turned into Spanking Stories Book Club, a weekly feature on my blog where people stop by to talk about spanking books. I never imagined that it would become so popular and that there would be so many interesting discussions.

However, over the last few months I've noticed a decrease in the amount of comments. Now....according to the stats from Blogger, many people are stopping by, they just aren't commenting. That's fine. No shaming here. But, it's difficult to have a discussion all alone.

The number of spanking fiction writers and bloggers has exploded over the last couple of years. In addition to Spanking Stories Book Club, there are several other weekly features for bloggers: Saturday Spankings, Wicked Wanton Wednesdays, Tantalizing Tuesdays and many others. I know that I have cut back drastically on the number of blogs I visit regularly simply because it is so time consuming....I visit one blog, then another and next thing you know....two hours have gone by.

So....what does all of this have to do with Spanking Stories Book Club?

A few things.

I'm not going to be posting a new discussion every week. I am going to re-run discussions from the past as Spanking Stories Book Club Classics. I hope you'll stop by and join the conversations that took place previously. The books are still for sale, they're still good books and they are still worth your consideration and discussion.

I'll also post discussions of new books as guest posts from other authors or bloggers. If you have a book you'd like to feature (including your own) send me an email and let me know and I'll get it on the schedule.

I hope you'll keep stopping by on Fridays to join the discussion. It's always interesting.

Spanking Stories Book Club: The Conquered Brides

What's more fun than being a bride? Being a Conquered Bride!

The Conquered Brides is a five book collection of medieval spanking romance stories.

The Conquered Brides blurb:

When the castle they called home is besieged and ultimately falls, five women are captured and carried off as wives by their foes. Will they be treated as no more than the spoils of war, or can their new lords prove themselves worthy of the love and submission of their conquered brides?

The Conquered Brides is a five-book collection featuring brand-new titles from five top erotic romance authors. This collection includes:

Commanding the Princess, by Korey Mae Johnson
As the ruler of Hohenzollern Castle in name only, Susanna has watched helplessly for years as her power-hungry uncle made one enemy after another for her. One enemy stands out, and the moment she catches sight of him, Princess Susanna is certain that it will be Gerhard of Bavaria who brings her world down around her. As his army smashes through her gates, Susanna makes the only choice she has left. She surrenders herself to Gerhard, hoping to win mercy for her people, though she fears it will come at the cost of her life. But she soon learns that Gerhard has other plans for her, plans which may end with her surrendering much more than just her castle to him.

The Knight’s Seduction, by Renee Rose
Avowed to never again yield to a man’s ill-treatment, Lady Daisy stands ready to fight to the death when her castle is sacked. The imposing knight Sir Barrett has other ideas, however, and to her dismay, Daisy soon finds herself not only disarmed, but soundly spanked as well. Sir Barrett takes her as his captive bride, but when she shows real terror at the prospect of consummating their marriage, he offers her a bargain. She will offer her body to him and accept the pleasurable torments he inflicts, but he will not claim her fully until she aches for it so badly she begs him. Certain she will do no such thing, Daisy agrees, but can she resist the knight's seduction?

The Widow Is Mine, by Ashe Barker
Since her husband’s untimely passing, Lady Natalia has resigned herself to a quiet life as a young widow and perhaps one day as a nun. But when her adopted home is conquered by the enemy, her world is turned upside down. After he rescues her from the chaos of Hohenzollern’s fall, Duke Stefan of Richtenholst cannot imagine allowing Natalia to languish behind the walls of a convent. The duke takes Natalia home as his wife, and he quickly proves himself ready to compel her obedience when it is necessary, but can he ever truly make her his own?

Conquering Lady Claire, by Sue Lyndon
As Hohenzollern Castle falls, mayhem unfolds around Lady Claire, and her only aim is to lead as many women and children of the castle to safety as possible. In an odd turn of fortune, her courageous efforts ultimately lead to her capture by none other than Lord Galien of Minrova, the very man that her brother, a powerful duke, recently commanded to find her and claim her as his wife. Claire’s defiance is quickly overcome by means of a firm hand applied to her bare bottom, but Galien is not content merely going through the motions of a political marriage. His skilled lovemaking soon leaves his new bride begging for more, but can he conquer her heart as well?

Kidnapped and Claimed, by Dinah McLeod
When her husband’s repeated infidelities and drunken insults become too much to bear, Lady Cecily flees to her childhood home at Hohenzollern, but things quickly go from bad to worse and she is kidnapped from the castle stables only moments after her arrival. Cecily ignores her abductor’s warnings of ruin about to befall Hohenzollern and his claim that he took her from the castle only to keep her safe. She resists him every step of the way, until at last he spanks her long and hard. Despite his firm chastisement, it soon becomes clear to Cecily that her captor cares for her in a way her husband never did. But can she forgive him for stealing her from her home?

Questions:

1.      Which genres of the captured bride romance trope do you enjoy reading the most? Medieval, sci-fi, Viking, fantasy, or something else?
2.      After Princess Susanna surrenders to the enemy, she negotiates for the safety of her people, and Gerhard of Bavaria decrees that there will be no rapes on this day and that the women of the castle must be taken as wives instead. If you were an unmarried woman in the castle and you heard this decree, would you remain in the castle and hope for the best, or would you try your best to escape the castle walls and slip past the enemy camp into the forest? (note: it’s freezing cold and there are hungry wolves in that forest!)
3.      Life during the Middle Ages was no picnic. Imagine you are magically transported back in time to a place like Hohenzollern Castle. Which modern amenity would you miss the most… indoor plumbing, the Internet, being able to read spanking books anytime on your Kindle, modern medicine, or something else?

4.      Why do you think the captured bride fantasy is so popular?

Spanking Stories Book Club: Her Daddy, Her Dom and Her Doctor by Emily Tilton

Blurb: Twenty-two-year-old Natalie has three dominant men in her life. Tom, her daddy, spoils her even while making sure her bratty behavior is dealt with firmly over his knee. Dan is a doctor whose intimate examinations always leave Natalie blushing… and begging for more. And last there is Adam, the dom who gave Natalie her very first spanking and who still holds a special place in her heart. The only problem is that none of the men know about one another, and Natalie is afraid they will all leave her if they find out the truth.

When they discover that Natalie has been dishonest with them, there is only one solution: she must be taught a lesson. The men bring Natalie to a beautiful island resort, planning to give her a memorable stay. She’ll have three days of fun in the sun, but also three days of harsh punishment with each man taking his turn, and then on the final day Natalie will learn what it is like for a naughty girl to be thoroughly punished by her daddy, her dom, and her doctor, all at once.

Publisher’s Note: Her Daddy, Her Dom, and Her Doctor is an erotic novel that includes spankings, age play, medical play, anal play, BDSM, sexual scenes including a foursome, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

In a world where women struggle to find one decent man, Natalie manages to corral three winners in the matter of just a few weeks. Each one satisfies a different need within her in many special ways.

Questions:

1. None of the participants discussed exclusivity, so Natalie played with all three men. Once you are sexually active with a partner, is there an implied exclusivity?

2. I know this is fiction and fantasy, but in real life do you think three dominant men could share a woman?

3. Natalie has three daddies---Adam the stern professional dom, Dan the doctor who likes to perform Victorian examinations, and Tom the teddy bear of a daddy who brings out the little girl in Natalie. If you could choose only one of these men, which would suit you best?

4. Are we wrong to think that only one man or one woman can satisfy (not just sexually) all the needs of an individual?

5. How would you feel being naked in front of several former/current lovers at the same time?
