GOOB Report

I'm posting this a day early because I have big news to announce tomorrow.

First, I'm loving the Get Off Our Butts Challenge. For one thing, I've met several new (to me) bloggers and it's been very exciting to see how the challenge has spread throughout blogland. Second, making the promise to participate has made me more aware of how little I have been exercising lately and it's made me push a bit harder.
My goal for the week was to exercise for 60 mins on three days and to write 5,000 words.


There were a couple days when I aimed for 60 mins but only got 30 or 45 but instead of adding that all up and saying it was good enough for the week, I decided to make it that I had to exercise for 60 mins per day for 3 days and no fudging, which means I probably exercised for an extra 60-90 mins this week. Yay! Thanks to everyone for the support and encouragement.
I also met my writing goal. Currently I'm at 5,003 words.
For next week, I'm going to set the same goals: exercise for 60 mins 3 days and write 5,000 words.

  1. Yay! You are awesome! I will accomplish my 5 day goal as of Saterday morning! I will be glad of the extra day I lost this week.

    Congratulations for the week that is fantastic! I emailed you and Ana earlier this week and asked if I could join the challenge if the I did not have a log. Thank you for including me! My goals were to get back into shape since I have lost some of my tone & shape froma surgery awhile back. To eat less sugar (I think in my email I said no sugar but that's just crazy) & increase how much water I drink. I wanted to do cardio 5 times a week for 45 minutes & take some sort of class twice a week. So far for.the week I took 3 gclasses and did apcardio ever single day. No matter how hectic it has been I have gotten myself to the gym. I have watched my eating just need to work on the water intake.
